Prior to joining CCA, Talar worked at USC Keck Verdugo Hills Hospital as a Registered Nurse. There, Talar provided care for patients who suffered from stroke, heart attack, Alzhiemers, COVID, and other health complications. As a nurse, Talar worked closely with various providers and care team members. This allowed her to learn about the different aspects of healthcare and care coordination. She especially had a passion in involving the patient and family members in the care plan. Talar completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing at Azusa Pacific University, where she is currently completing her Masters and Nurse Practitioner degrees. She hopes to take her background knowledge of nursing and the new knowledge the students at CCA provide, to be a better and more well rounded provider in the future.
Before becoming a nurse, Talar was part of an internship program with COPE Health Solutions, which eventually led to an employment position. Here, she ensured that students received opportunities to gain knowledge and find their passion within the healthcare field. She participated in projects for student recruitment and assisted in the student training process to ensure that students provided optimal patient care.
