Eligibility: Must have a current CNA Certification or LVN License in California

Here’s what you’ll learn

Course 1: Leadership Keys to Success

This course introduces the scope of service of the Restorative Nursing Program, the roles and responsibilities of the Restorative Nursing Assistant, and how to implement and uphold  OBRA and Title 22 regulations related to the RNP.

Course 2: Medical Overview

This course provides a medical overview of common diseases affecting residents while improving the understanding of practical strategies to provide RNP treatments to residents with cognition and hearing conditions and techniques for effective communication with residents.

Course 3: Clinical Competency

This course focuses on understanding the functional mobility levels of residents and treatment techniques provided in the Restorative Nursing Assistant Program within the Long Term Care facility.

Course 4: Demonstrating Clinical Competence and Review

This course builds upon the Restorative Nursing Program principles while summarizing the skills learned. Participants will demonstrate clinical competencies and skills in this final course.
