Description: This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. The students will learn critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a sudden cardiac arrest emergency until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives. The Education Fund typically offers the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals however we can also offer other CPR classes for workers as long as it is acceptable for the facility.

Eligibility: Eligible students must be current SEIU Local 2015 nursing home members working at a facility that is actively contributing into the Education Fund.
