Here’s what you’ll learn:

• Learning Upgrade Courses – access to all courses on a smartphone, tablet or web browser. Students can take placement exams and start at their current learning level. At the end of each 60-lesson course, students must complete a cumulative test to earn a certificate.
  • English/ESL Courses
    • English B, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – The English Upgrade courses move students from early reading and grammar to advanced comprehension and writing through a sequence of 360 engaging lessons. Students start at their level and rapidly grow to become proficient readers comfortable using academic language.
    • Reading and Comprehension – The Reading Upgrade course provides rapid intervention for students struggling to read proficiency. This includes students with reading difficulties including dyslexia, English learners, and older students who need to learn reading fundamentals. The Comprehension Upgrade course helps students to master the understanding of complex passages including literature, social studies, and science texts. Students learn key concepts like main idea and point of view through videos, examples, and practice questions.
  • Math Courses
    • Math B, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 – These courses employ interactive lessons to help students start at their own level and expand their skills to overcome math struggles and become confident problem solvers ready for success in math classes and tests. Students start at their level and quickly fill in gaps to reach proficiency through interactive lessons filled with video, practice, and help.
    • Algebra Upgrade and Pre-Algebra Upgrade – The Algebra and Pre-Algebra Upgrade courses prepare students for success in math classes and passing difficult tests. These courses go beyond simple practice to help students learn difficult concepts through video and interactive games. Students gain the confidence to solve a variety of problems step-by-step on their own.
  • Skills Courses
    • Digital Literacy – The highly anticipated new Digital Literacy course in the Learning Upgrade program teaches digital literacy standards.  The 60 engaging lessons use video, music, games, and rewards to help learners understand difficult tech topics. Learners get experience with content creation, messaging, data, privacy, security, and digital citizenship.
    • Work Life Skills – prepares people for success in their jobs, in school, and in life by teaching key soft skills.  This course includes lessons in communication, personal qualities, interpersonal skills, social emotional learning, and work preparation. This innovative course helps develop the foundation for success in the workplace.
    • Financial Literacy – prepares learners for success with both personal and small business finance.  This course includes lessons covering banking, mobile finance, loans, and budgets.  Learners become familiar with financial statements and business fundamentals.  This course gives learners an opportunity to develop the vocabulary and skills for financial success.
    • Citizenship (Coming Soon) – helps people prepare for the interview to become a U.S. Citizen by passing the civics test, the reading and writing test, and the interview questions. Learners become familiar with the 100 civics questions covering the U.S. government, history, and geography.  English lessons help non-English speakers (ESL) pass the reading and writing questions, as well as develop interviewing skills.  A final practice test helps give people confidence before the test.
  • Test Prep Courses
    • GED Reading – prepares learners for success in the Reading, Writing, Social Studies, and Science sections of the GED test.  The lessons are designed to give students practice with question types and topics similar to the actual test.  The courses go far beyond simple practice tests to actually teach learners key skills in comprehension, writing, and understanding maps, charts, and diagrams.  Learners move through 60 sequenced lessons that build up their skills and then master a final challenge to prepare them for test success.
    • GED Math and HiSET Math – prepare learners for success on these challenging tests with engaging lessons that teach the key math topics and valuable problem solving activities. The courses go far beyond simple practice tests to actually teach learners the math they need and give learners confidence to pass the test. Learners move through 60 sequenced lessons that build up their math skills and then master a final challenge to prepare them for test success.
    • TOEFL / IELTS – prepare learners for success in these challenging English tests by covering Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking topics in detail.  The lessons are designed to give students practice with question types and topics similar to the actual test.  The courses go far beyond simple practice tests to actually teach learners key skills in comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and writing.  Learners move through 60 sequenced lessons that build up their skills and then master a final challenge to prepare them for test success.
• Cell Ed Courses – The programs offer lessons to learn essential skills for adult learners to navigate daily life. Learners receive fun, short audio and text lessons, anytime they are ready to study. Each learner is paired with a live coach who supports goals and helps ensure success. Learners are assessed on listening comprehension, reading, and writing. Pre- and Post-assessments are embedded within units of courses. Lastly, most courses end with a final assessment, ensuring demonstrated learning gains.

    • SkillBuilder Reading & Writing
      • Reading & Writing, ENG – Strengthen your reading skills with six levels for English speakers, from alphabetics to reading complex texts.
      • Vamos a Leer, SPA – Learn to read in Spanish for Spanish speakers.
    • SkillBuilder Math for Daily Life, ENG – Use addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or percentages to solve problems at work and in life.
    • Advanced SkillBuilder: Charts, Graphs, and Tables, ENG – This course gives learners strategies to read charts, graphs, and labels. Learners review visual information used in real contexts (ads, maps) and identify keywords and text features to locate specific information in the texts.
    • WorkReady: Skills for Work, ENG, SPA – Learn to apply for a job, communicate on the job, budget, and more.
    • Digital Skills, ENG, SPA, ELL – Learn tips to do tasks quickly, easily, and safely online such as creating an email, filling out job apps, & navigating health portals.
    • Early Childhood Development, ENG, SPA – Discover ways to support a child’s (3 to 8) reading skills.
    • U.S. Citizenship, ENG/ELL – Study for the Citizenship test and interview, and learn how to apply for U.S. Citizenship.
    • Educational Opportunities STEPS, ENG, SPA – Learn about educational options and paying for school.
    • Business Skills & Managing Money, ENG, SPA – Learn about business and financial literacy topics, such as: managing money, marketing, and banking in the U.S.
  • Learn a Language: English & Spanish
    • English on the Go – Learn English vocabulary, expressions, & grammar for everyday life.
