The course meets the requirements of the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) for LVNs to become certified in IV therapy and blood withdrawal.

Eligibility:
- Eligible students must be current SEIU Local 2015 nursing home members working at a facility that is actively contributing into the Education Fund.
- LVN license or successful completion of an approved vocational nursing or registered Nursing Program or equivalent
Wrap-Around Services: Support with enrollment and ongoing case management

- IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal methods, PICC lines, central lines and IV pumps.
- Review of human body anatomy and functions, electrolytes and fluids, IV solution concentrations, IV preparation, vein selection and live practice.
