Jana Wright

Jana brings many years of experience to her role as CCA’s Director of Policy & Research. She has served in Director of Policy positions across several organizations, such as Insure the Uninsured Project (ITUP), Unite Us, and LA Best Babies Network. She has also held roles as a Senior Policy Analyst and Legislative Assistant.

Jana has contributed to several successful health policy and social justice initiatives, including the passing of Senate Bill 951 (SB 951) to increase paid family leave and the SDI wage replacement rate from 60% to 90% for low-income workers (70% for everyone else), and an increase in federal funding for Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting.

She holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Southern California (USC).

Drawn to CCA through her desire to help serve the growing needs of California’s aging population, Jana’s Data & Policy work supports CCA’s programs and advocacy for quality training and skill development for caregivers. Her work also supports CCA’s efforts to secure sustainable funding for CCA initiatives that positively impact California communities, now and in the years to come.
